Absolute recommendation! Very tasty food, best price / performance ratio, especially in this central location right next to Maximilianstrasse. We definitely recommend dishes from the handwritten blackboard with the daily specials. The boss served us himself. Very friendly, competent and attentive. We hope, despite renewed Corona restrictions, that such restaurants have a future. We'll be back for sure.

Friendly staff, they were clearly Italians but also spoke German. Food was good and service was quick and correct. Prices were acceptable: 22,5 euro for veal, 4,9 euro for a glass of house wine (0,2 cl). If you go for a bottle of wine it will cost you at least 32 euros, so you might wanna go easy on the wine. You can pay card or cash. Reservation in most restaurants is recommended coz at 19h it's difficult to still find a free table.

Outstanding price-performance ratio. The dishes are excellent, plentiful and, for the exposed location, completely acceptable in terms of price, even if they are cheap. The restaurant is run by two owners who take care of their guests, no wish goes unfulfilled. I can fully recommend this restaurant! Please continue.

Eaten well. Group dinner with predefined menu. Nothing to complain neither to the kitchen nor to the service.

The service is good. I ordered the pasta and seafood, and they were quite delicious. The pasta is not soft, it is slightly chewy (not strong, but the hardness is acceptable), and the wine recommended by the waiter is also great , The guests from France at the next table also talked loudly in French, and later joked with the waiter, and the conversation was full of satisfaction

I went to this restaurant out of curiosity ... after reading a negative review compared to many positive ones ... I was very satisfied with my choice ... the place as far as I understand it is historical ... it is an elegant place with quality food and wines (even if I drank a beer) .... I was guided in my choices by Salvatore and he couldn't have done better ... a colleague and I had a pleasant chat with Salvatore and I understood why is THE ITALIAN CLASSIC ABROAD .... because, even after years, he is still in love with his land ... good to all the staff of the Tenor in which I hope to be able to return soon ........ One of my favorite restaurants in all of Munich. Excellent food, especially I would like to recommend the surprise menu, great wines, and above-average service. Worth a visit for all occasions!

Somewhat hidden behind the Platzl. Restaurant serves the hotel as a breakfast room in the morning. At lunchtime and in the evening, impeccable Italian cuisine, which is extremely inexpensive for the location.

I had the pleasure of eating twice in this restaurant during my vacation in Munich ... The first thing that catches the eye is a well-kept and elegant location !! The staff (made up of Italian guys) is simply fantastic, a mix of education and sympathy that make you feel at ease right away, my boyfriend and I felt at home! As for the food, nothing to say, all excellent: excellent and perfectly cooked meat, delicious appetizers and pizza with a high quality dough. I would recommend this restaurant to both locals and tourists for the excellent quality / price ratio and for the availability / friendliness of its staff. What can I say, really well done !!!

Cosy place with nice food and great service!

Traditional italian done right, great food, wine and service in the middle of old town. Love pasta with truffle, generous portion of shaved truffle, just as good as in northern Italy.

Unfortunately, I have to go down a star because I did not have such delicious food this time. I had ravioli with turkey and pistachios. Unfortunately, I almost did not like the pistachios. Maybe I was just unlucky. The operation is always top, so I always come back. ?

This is a nice and quite placento go for lunch. Service and food were pretty good. Unfortunately they don't have a board to change baby's diapers.

Good cosy place for italian cuisine

For me, the best Italian restaurant in Munich. The food is a real treat and the service is first class. Beautifully decorated, the restaurant is located in a side street of the Maximilianstraße and is a real insider tip in front of the opera or after a shopping day. Greetings from Freising-we will be regulars :-) Update: Today we were back at Il Tenore and again our expectations were exceeded: the 4-course menu was just heavenly ... I have never eaten such a good dessert !!!!

Never expected Italian food can be this good in Germany. If we did, we would’ve skipped all the German food we had this trip and only come here. The spaghetti with white sauce and clam is fantastico! The only down point is that they ordered us duck instead of the beef like I told... Lost in translation I guess. However, duck is also great. The people there are so nice so I don’t even feel like this mistake had any negativity on me. Love this place!

I had a great birthday dinner here earlier this week. The staff is always warm and attentive, and they have a delicious and bread menu. I recommend their business lunch as well.
